The State of Pennsylvania unquestionably sent five more emigrants to other parts of the country where Indiana has sent one of those who fought in the war. Massachusetts ba3 poured her vigorous population all over the country. and not only in States as far west as Illinois and Iowa. but the great States which have been so recently admitted into the Union are very largely made up of the men who fought during the war of the rebellion and preserved the country intact wherein they have nade their new homes.
