That the sum of $75.000. or so much thereof as may be found necessary. be. and the same is hereby. appropriated. out of any moneys in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated. to purchase. or to obtain by condemnation. a site for. and for the erection of. a naval magazine. and that the iecretary of the Navyslall select asite at a safe distance from populous citiesand from the shipping of the harbor of New York. And the further sum of $75.000. or so much thereof as may be necessary. is hereby appropriated to enable the Secretary of the Treasury to improve said Ellis Island for immigration purposes.
