Our manufacturing interest has increased greatly beyond anything that had been before known in the history of this country. More than that. we have invited immigrants to come here from abroad. We have built great lines of railroad penetrating the wilds of the West and opening up to the use of our people and of those who come from abroad the vast territories that lie beyond the Mississippi River.
