During the last year there have been added to the inhabitants of the State of Nebraska from one hundred thousand to one hundred and. twenty thousand people by immigration. There lbve been built over: five hundred miles of railroad. on many miles of which today the mailt are not carried. On others the pouch service is the only service we have. for the reason that the appropriation for postal clerks has been exhausted by reason of the great revival in the business of the country during the year.
