Mr. Speaker. I rise today to honor the incredible life of Alice Mary Moore. who will celebrate her 80th birthday on July 17. 2016. Alices parents immigrated from County Antrim and County Longford. Ireland to Queens. New York where they raised a strongwilled Irishwoman with a sharp sense of humor. At age 20. she met Charles Moore and they married a few weeks later in the Upper West side of Manhattan at the Roman Catholic Church of the Ascension. Charles later joined the United States Army and his proud service as a cook brought him and Alice to overseas posts in Germany and Kenya and to domestic posts across the United States.
