Late last year. ISIS released a religious edict stating that taking organs from a living captive to save a Muslims life was permissible. making religious minorities all over the Middle East. like the Chaldeans and the Assyrians. even more vulnerable. Other helpless groups of people. like refugees. have reportedly been selling their organs on the black market through dealers who then sell the organs to foreign countries in what is quickly becoming an unchecked and lucrative business. Mr. Speaker. it is time for the United States to take a leading role in combatting this heinous crime and standing with the worlds most vulnerable.
