I am just saying that if you come from Cuba using the Cuban Adjustment Act. prove that you have been persecuted in Cuba. That is not hard to do. You were in jail. you were beaten. We know who the people are who are being persecuted. All I am saying is prove that you are a refugee. and then you will qualify for the benefits because we help refugees. But. apparently. that is too much to ask. Here is the thing. Everybody here comes up to me and says: I am for your amendment. I support what you are trying to do.
