A pen and a phone are not a replacement for the legislative body. And it is the Senates chore to pick that person. Take. for example. a vital case about to be argued before the Supreme Court next week: United States v. Texas. To some. this may seem like a simple antiimmigration or. in some cases. a proimmigration case. But at its core. it is not about whether or not you are anti- or proimmigration. It is about whether or not the Supreme Court will allow the executive branch to circumvent Congress and legislate from the Oval Office rather than through Capitol Hill. the way it was intended by our Founders.
