Mr. Speaker. the resolution before us today. before this body. is not about policy. It is not about how we should handle the 11 million undocumented. illegal immigrants who are currently residing in this country. It is about our Nations Constitution. It is about the checks and balances that our Founders labored over so intensely to ensure a government will always be by and for the people. It has even been noted that it has been taught and is taught today in elementary school that the legislaturethe Congresswrites the laws.
