Mr. Speaker. I rise today to introduce legislation declaring the Christians and Yazidis of Syria. Iraq. Pakistan. Iran. Egypt. and Libya as targets of genocide. This bill will make them eligible for expedited refugee and visa processing for entry into the United States and give them priority over other applicants. The Save the Christians from Genocide Act is imperative at this time. The alarm bell is ringing. Ancient longstanding communities of Christians in the Middle East are being murdered individually and en masse. targeted for extinction. Under President Obamas leadership. our government has stood by impotently and watched this crime against humanity.
