If we hadnt taken up this nomination. she would not have been confirmed. Indeed. when President Obama put in place his illegal Executive amnesty. I publicly called on the soontobe majority leader. If the President violates the checks and balances of the Constitution. if the President usurps the authority of Congress. if the President ignores our immigration laws. then the majority leader should have responded and said the Senate will not confirm any Obama nominees. executive or judicial. other than vital national security positions. unless and until the President rescinds his illegal amnesty. Now. that would have been strong medicine. to be sure. That is a serious pushback.
