Ms. Loutas will be retiring as Chief of Staff for U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. A Chicago resident since 1972. Ms. Loutas began her outstanding career with Immigration and Naturalization Services in 1987 as a Supervisory Legalization Officer for the Legalization Program. She joined the District in 1990 as Immigration Examiner and became a supervisor in citizenship from 1991 through 1997. In 1997. she was asked to serve in headquarters for a year as Central Region Coordinator for the Headquarters Office of Naturalization Operations. In 1999. Ms. Loutas was appointed to Special Assistant to the District Director in the Chicago district in and contributed to that capacity until 2005. Ms. Loutas then served as the Assistant Director for Mission Support. where she worked diligently to secure Americas promise as a nation of immigrants and ensure the integrity of our immigration system to constituents. She was named Chief of Staff of the Chicagos 14th District office in 2009. In 2011. she was honored with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services Directors Heritage Award for her outstanding service and dedication. I thank her for her invaluable service. and wish her well in all future endeavors.
