I am a huge believer in career and technical education. Every job in this country does not need the traditional 4year bachelors degree. In fact. there are many jobs in this countryand the unemployment rate is still too highthere are many jobs in this country that are going unfilled. We have to bring welders in on foreign visas and other important career and technical fields because we dont adequately promote and celebrate career and technical education. This is similar to the previous speech about STEM. I have formed a Career and Technical Education Caucus. together with Senators PORTMAN and BALDWIN.
