I dont understand why the Republican leadership cant override the views of a handful of extremists in their party who are insisting on maintaining these antiimmigration riders. holding the Department of Homeland Security appropriations bill hostage. and thereby jeopardizing the security of the people of the United States of America. We have 5 legislative days left to deal with this. and we are leaving tomorrow for a break. Again. we go home and tell our constituents when they ask. "What have you accomplished?" the answer is. "Nothing." We have done nothing.
