Funding and paying for essential functions of the Department of Homeland Security at a time when threats have never been higher is absolutely critical. So we have to achieve that by whatever means. By the same token. addressing this egregious constitutional violation and the Presidents broken promises relative Executive power on immigration is a key issue the American people want debated now. It needs to be debated. Both sides have agreed that we need immigration reform. But it ought to be done through the peoples representatives and not through the wishes of the President of the United States when he does not have the power to make these changes. So I trust that we will be able to work through this in the next several days leading up to our recess or the end of this month when we have to come to a conclusion.
