Since homeland security is a national effort. the bill provides continued funding for grant programs to State and local firefighters. emergency managers. and law enforcement. The bill also provides for research and development. TSAs aviation security screening operations. the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. and EVerify. which supports businesses across the United States in hiring legal workers. Finally. the bill provides a requested $7 billion for the Disaster Relief Fund to assist with recovery costs for communities when they are hit by natural disasters. What the bill does not fund is the Presidents Executive actions. The House bill includes several amendments that are targeted at reversing the Presidents actions and articulating priorities for immigration enforcement.
