David Rivkin. who served two Presidents in the Office of White House Counsel. and Elizabeth Price Foley. a constitutional law professor. wrote an article recently in the Wall Street Journal. It just hammers and devastates the arguments the President is making in favor of his executive amnesty. They say this: By announcing a global policy of nonenforcement against certain categories. Mr. Obama condones unlawful behavior. weakening the laws deterrent impact. and allows lawbreakers to remain without fear of deportation . . . These individuals are no longer deportable although Congress has declared them so. They conclude with a statement we need to consider. I believe their concluding statement is accurate.
