What sort of security situation do we have today? This is not just about the southern border. it is about the northern border. It is about our security of the entire Nation. and if we will start looking at border security as national security. which is the way we on this side of the aisle understand this issue. then we can protect the American people. It definitely does take us working with the President because he runs the Department of Homeland Security through his appointee to that Secretarys position. and it is his policies through that Department that determine whether or not we are going to be protected. and protecting our borders is a part of protecting Americans from international terrorism. including international Islamic terrorism.
