It would be unthinkable to yield to the confirmation of such nominees in the face of so grave a threat to our constitutional order. This individual is going to take this law enforcement office. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. and she is going to execute at her direction to all those officers a policy that violates law and violates the Constitution of the United States as a bipartisan group of professors have so declared. and therefore I think none of us should support such an action. and therefore I would urge my colleagues to vote no on this nomination.
