As we know. the Congress is going to soon wrap up our session for the yearin a couple of days. Senators have the obligation to fill two key leadership posts in the Department of Homeland Security in the days that lie ahead. One is the Under Secretary for Management. Mr. Deyo has been nominated by the President. I believe he is a Republican. The other is the Assistant Secretary for Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Sarah Saldana. As we all know. this Department plays a critical role in protecting our Nation from a number of threats. including terrorism. cyber attacks. and natural disasters. just to name a few.
