Madam Speaker. I rise today in recognition of Rosamond Payne. a Senior Associate Director in emergency medicine at Kings County Hospital Center. Mrs. Payne is also a Family Nurse Practitioner in emergency medicine as well. It behooves us to honor Mrs. Payne who immigrated to the United States from Grenada where she had vast political involvement in solving community issues and needs. For many years. Mrs. Payne has been a preceptor for Advance Practice Nurse Practitioner students. has been a mentor in the AfricanAmerican Nursing Leadership Program at New York University. Additionally. Rosamond has been a professor of nursing for three years at the City University of New York serving on the curriculum committee and as the liaison between the City University of New York and the College of Nursing in the Netherlands.
