I now have an even greater understanding of the importance of the role that Annette and Katrina played in providing them with that family. We got the news I read this morning in the paper that just last week the Prime Minister of Hungary was scheduled to present TOM with the highest honor that Hungary bestows on anyone. and. sadly. he was too ill to receive that honor. But we know that TOM regularly described himself as one who was born Hungarian. but was American by choice. and I think that underscores the extraordinary importance of immigration and the great importance of what it is that has made the United States of America as great as it is. One of the things. I am the first Republican to stand up but I am going to be turning this over to the distinguished ranking member on the Committee on Foreign Affairs in just a few minutes. but as the first Republican to stand up.
