Mr. Speaker. I rise in support of the Head Start conference report and I thank Representatives McKEON. CASTLE. MILLER and KILDEE for their work on producing an agreement with the Senate. For several years. I have worked to improve Head Starts academic and Migrant and Seasonal Head Start provisions. For thousands of children. Head Start serves as their first formal learning experience. Three- and fouryearolds are open to learning about the world around them. and they should be presented with a wide range of early academic concepts. I am very pleased that this conference agreement includes provisions to ensure that these children are exposed to math and science.
