Session #110 · 2007–09

Speech #1100119214

Senator CONRAD. has been out here working hard to see if can we get a list of amendments we can begin working through. Apparently. we now know there are something like 250 amendments that have been noticed. Obviously. we are not going to have 250 53. Pt. 23 31339 amendments on this bill. We dont have time for that. Some of these amendments. a good many of them. have nothing at all to do with this subject at allgoing back into immigration and a whole series of tax issues that have nothing to do with farming. agriculture. family farms. So the question is. Can we find a way to reduce that number of amendments and then just start?
