Session #110 · 2007–09

Speech #1100110835

Act. the act that grants inState tuition discount to people who are eligible for deportation. Now. I just cannot rationally get to a conclusion that that is the best way that we can spend taxpayers money or send a message to the broader society. I believe we need to adhere to the rule of law. I believe we need to stand on the rule of law. and we need to enforce the rule of law. And it needs to be respected by the States. the States like California and Kansas and about eight others who have decided to defy the Federal law and grant inState tuition discounts to illegals within their State institutions but charge outofState tuition premiums to the residents of other States who might want to go to UC Berkeley or the University of Kansas or a number of other schools within those two States and eight other States that are defying Federal law.
