Some wanted to simply reauthorize the status quo. some wanted to even decrease the childrens health insurance funding. and others wanted to add benefits. That is not necessarily evil. Because you did something 10 years ago does not mean it has to stand written in stone forever. such as eye exams. Some wanted to restore coverage to the children of legal immigrants. Some wanted to increase funding to $50 billion. Individually. we all believed what we proposed was the right thing to do. but ultimately we did not do those things because we compromised because we were determined to be bipartisan and we wanted this bill to pass for the sake of 10 million children.
