So I am pleased we have made a concrete step forward with this funding. It will allow us. if the executive branch uses it wisely. to transform in a significant way the open border system we now have to a lawful system. That would be good for America in terms of creating a lawful system of immigration. and it will be good for the people who send us their money and expect us to do what we promise to do and that we actually get serious about it and start taking steps in that direction. With regard to fencing. other countries use fencing significantly. Spain is constructing quite a lot of fencing on their African border.
