But that is the underlying bill. The question before the body is. as I understand it. the underlying bill. probably because the authorizing language may not be germane. This will be a vote basically on the issue. in my opinion. of whether you want to increase funding for border security by $3 billion. fully funding what is necessary in order to make the border secure. including undertaking specific authorizing language which we think is important in order to give the Border Patrol and ICE agents the necessary tools they need in order to remove people from this country who have come to this country illegally or have done illegal acts while they are here. This is essentially a vote on the underlying amendment.
