Whats going to make our workers more competitive is their ability to compete on an international level. Now. part of that edge is going to be able to be determined whether they are going to be bilingual. whether they are going to be fluent in not just one language. but maybe two languages. Its interesting in our country. especially over the debate the last several weeks. denigrating immigration as if its something of a drain on our society. that we have lost sight. The greatest strength of our Nation are our immigrants. especially now. The United States is unique around the world in that we are a country of nations. nations that make up every part of the world. We are uniquely positioned as a Nation to take full advantage of the multiethnic backgrounds of all the people that make up this great country of ours.
