Mr. President. I thank the Senator from Alabama for his steadfast effort to inform the Senate and other people about the flaws of the immigration bill. It is a bill that was put together by a coalition. It didnt go through committee. I have never seen a bill that passed this body that didnt go through a committee. That is because people put together the bill by bringing together their own pet projects and one saying to the other: I dont like your part. but if you will put my part in there. I will vote for your part and we will stick together to the bitter end.
