I want to commend Chairman BINGAMAN and Ranking Member DoMENICt for their work on this legislation. There is no question there are some positive provisions in the legislation. I do appreciate that it actually came through committee. I have not seen a bill that has just been brought to the floor. such as the immigration bill. that has ever made it through the process. So this one has a chance of making it through. and I am glad for that. The legislation will help develop biofuels technologies which will allow us to displace some of our Nations traditional energy supply.
