Session #110 · 2007–09

Speech #1100057264

What the Senate should not be doing is passing meaningless resolutions that could only serve a political purpose. With the issues we have facing this country. how could we be spending a whole day. and possibly more if cloture is invoked. on a resolution that will have no impact? Why wouldnt we be talking about immigration. which we discussed last week and the week before that when we were in session? We were making headway. Immigration is a very important issue for our country. The Energy bill which is before us is a very legitimate. major issue for our country. We all want to bring gasoline prices down.
