Our majority leader. our Democratic majority leader. is offering an amendment that says: Well. we will comply with all the current laws of the IRS. and you dont get the earnedincome tax credit if you are illegal. Well. of course. That means zeronothing. 1 have to tell my colleagues. I am amazed at that amendment. unless I have missed something entirely. because that is what it is all about. They wont be illegal when they are given the probationary status or the Z visa status. They become legal and would get it. I was going to meet with some of the White House people to discuss this issue.
