Nobody has a constitutional legal right to demand entry into the United States of America. How much more basic can it be than that? So that is where we are confused. It amazes me the lack of understanding and comprehension of what it is all about. We set the standards. We have the most generous immigration laws of almost any country in the world. It has been a big part of our heritage. We are not going to end immigration. Nobody wants to do that. or to act irrationally. and so forth. But to set reasonable standards. as Senator CORNYN is attempting to do with his amendment. only makes common sense.
