So the upward pressure on wages in that construction industry is eliminated. There is no upward pressure. You have this very large group of entrylevel workers coming back every year. This does not make good sense. My amendment simply says. lets do what we did last year. We passed a bill last year. We had good bipartisan support for it. Basically. the bill. last year. said: Lets do one 3year visa. and let it be renewed for a year. What I am proposing in my amendment is. lets do a 2year visa. Let it be renewed twice. Then the 6 years is up.
