Session #110 · 2007–09

Speech #1100053877

His involvement in trying to deal with this issue. including addressing it from a moral peispective. is something I will always admire. I remember well. I say to Senator MOCAIN. when I went to your office. probably 2 years ago. as a freshman Senator. When I was sitting in youi office. you pulled out a copy of the Arizona Republic. and I think the headline was: "300 People Died in the Desert." The Senator spoke about the moral basis for us to move forward with comprehensive immigration reform. The Senator certainly has been a leader in that effort. I thank him foi that.
