And further. another problem it creates is because under current requirements. lenders may use any legitimate form of identification. so it would compound the difficulty. because it would make it difficult. again. for community banks to use blanket liens to pledge collateral. raising costs. The point Im trying to get at is while the intention is good. I think that when you look at all of the problems with immigration. when you look at the problem of the fact of the cottage industry of providing bogus Social Security numbers. unless you put into this feature some mechanism to check to make sure that the Social Security number is valid. then the amendment seems to be moot.
