This means that the uninsured are not only more likely to go without health care for serious medical conditions. they are also more likely to go without routine care. less likely to have a regular source of care. less likely to use preventive services. and have viewer visits per Year. At the same time. without appropriate language translation services or properly translated materials. limited English proficient immigrants cannot receive adequate care as well as State and Federal benefits for which they may be eligible. Therefore. eliminating health care disparities in the AAPI community must include data collection. linguistically appropriate and culturally competent services and access to health insurance.
