I hope the hearings would be held this year in the Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee and the Judiciary Committee or whatever the appropriate committees might be. and then we might deal with this issue in the immigration bill which I hope we pass this year. We need a comprehensive immigration bill. That bill needs to have an employer verification system. I dont see how we can have an employer verification system without a good form of identification card.
