That is. the Administration is operating under the mistaken belief that allowing employees to collectively bargain for rights that others at DHS have will negatively impact homeland security. This is simply untrue. If the Administrations argument were true. then this means that the law enforcement officers at the Border Patrol. Customs and Border Protection. and the Federal Protective Services are all negatively impacting homeland securitysince these brave men and women have collective bargaining rights. And. despite having these rights. these folks are part of a flexible and highly sought after human resource. just like the TSA Screeners. So. as we honor all DHS employees.
