They provided dormitories for those who wanted to stay in the dormitory. They went through unemployment agencies in Georgia. They have already hired 200 workers. mostly AfricanAmerican citizens. for those jobs. Another 200 applications were pending. Dont tell me that if we have a lawful system of immigration it wont improve significantly the wages of American workers. I suggest my colleague from Massachusetts introduce himself to Professor Borjas at Harvard who has written a book on it. He says it has brought down the wages of lowincome workers by as much as 8 percent. which is $100 per month. or $1.200 per year.
