Senator INOUYE authored Section 405 of the Immigration Act of 1990. which provided for the naturalization of Filipino World War II veterans. Senator INOUYE has a long history of being involved in this important effort and it is an honor to have his support on my bill today. To understand the significance of this bill. it is important to first provide some background about the historical circumstances that got us to where we are today.
