It was a very. very. very bad piece of legislation. A lot of people voted against it. but it passed in this body. The House would not talk about it. If we would take our blinders off and if we would go back and think clearly about how our Nation should do immigration and talk to one another. I believe we can make more progress than people realize. and the American people could be proud of our system. I asked the people in Canada. and I asked the people in Australia: How do people feel about this? Are they happy with it?
