Mr. Speaker. let me reframe the difference between what we want to do on this side of the aisle and what is being proposed on that side of the aisle. First and foremost. we want to work together to address the issue of border security. We want to give the professionals the support that they have been asking for throughout these last 2 months of hearings. We want to make sure that we provide them the opportunity to tell us what kind of infrastructure. including fencing. they need. The buildings. the antivehicle barriers. the observation towers. the access roads. all of the kinds of things that they have told us are a priority in order for them to be able to control the border.
