It doesnt seem to be going anywhere in conference right now. What we should do and what the people in America would like us to do is to secure the borders first. This amendment does just that. It is all the provisions in the Senatepassed bill that deal just with border security. If you want to talk about securing this countryand that is what this bill is aboutborder security is a national security issue. it is an economic security issue. and It also has to do with who we are as a country and our ability to sustain our culture. This is an important amendment.
