Tons of garbage are left behind rotting. a danger that leads to the people as well as to the livestock. the way the ranchers operations are disrupted when the fences are torn down. the water lines are broken. and all the other things that occur. The bottom line is that we have to secure the border. and adding fencing helps to do that. That is why the amendment is so important. We have to make up the difference between what we have authorized and what the Border Patrol says they need. with what we have already provided in funding in the amendment to make up the difference to ensure that we have full funding for what we have to do at the border.
