By building more barrier fencing. by following up on the Presidents commitment to call out the National Guard. those activities send a signal to the world that our border is no longer open. Isnt that the message we want to send? We do not have an open border. We have a generous immigration system. far more generous that any nation I am aware of in the world. More generous than Canada. more generous than England. more generous than Mexico. We have a generous system. Dont let anyone put us down that we are somehow an antiimmigrant Nation. Nothing could be further from the truth. We are very generous. but we do need to have a system that is lawful.
