Session #109 · 2005–07

Speech #1090155288

There is a sense that if we lose control of the borders. that then we are going to have more of the war on terror fought on American soil. Mr. Speaker. it is issue number one. Securing this border is the most important issue that faces this body today. I want to thank the House leadership for being so consistent in saying that this body will make border security the primary focus of our work. I want to thank our colleagues who are working on the field hearings and working to be certain that the message is communicated with our constituents and with our colleagues here on the Hill. that this House is ready to see borders secured and national security as our top priority.
