It is for those who work their hearts out every day so that they may provide a better life for their families. It is so that children in this country never have to know what It feels like never to have enough. Increasing the minimum wage would give more than 7 million children of minimum wage earners a chance for a better life. As the son of poor immigrants. hardworking parents who worked day in and day out as a carpenter and a seamstress in a factory. I knew what it was not to have enough. My parents didnt have time to fight for better wages.
