The sheriffs along the border. the ones on our side. are the ones doing the interdiction of the drugs. This amount. while it is $1 million. and I guess in Washington everybody says it is only a million. a million here. a million there starts to add up. but I would certainly encourage support for this amendment. If we are going to spend that extra million dollars. I would rather give it to the sheriffs at the border patrol on our side of the border. where I know the money is well spent. and so I ask for the support of my colleagues for this amendment.
